On 7th and 8th of December MEPhI has held the international scientific-practical conference “Information technologies in education of XXI century” (ITE-XXI). The event considered and analyzed issues related to the improvement of educational processes based on modern information and communication technologies.
Urgency of educational forum attracted a lot of attention of the pedagogical and scientific community. In total 210 people from different regions of the country registered for participation in conference.
The vice-rector of MEPhI V. Uzhva welcomed participants of the conference. He noted that the use of information and communication technologies bring education to a new level, provide easy access to global educational resources.
The conference continued its work in the framework of six sections, where participants discussed a number of problems: application of advanced information technologies in higher education; information infrastructure of educational institutions; open education and distance education; scientific and methodical supporting of highly motivated and gifted students during the pre-University training; design and research activity of pupils in the modern educational environment.
In the framework of the conference the Department №17 “Computer science and management processes” held a master class “Olympiad Programming” for schoolchildren in the solution of Olympiad tasks in Informatics. It was conducted by a multiple winner of Russian student Olympiads on programming, lecturer of the Department № 17 S.E. Popov.
