A graduate of MEPhI has been appointed director of the Kurchatov Institute Research Center

Yulia Dyakova, who graduated from the University Lyceum 1511 and MEPhI, was appointed Director of the Kurchatov Institute Research Center by Order of the Russian Government on 888. Yulia Dyakova, who graduated from the University Lyceum 1511 and MEPhI, was appointed the new director of the Kurchatov Institute National Research Center (NRC) for a five-year term.   

 The new director of the Kurchatov Institute graduated from MEPhI in 2008 with a degree in condensed matter physics, specializing in physics of superconductivity and nanostructures.

 After graduating from MEPhI, Elena Alekseevna worked at the A.V. Institute of Crystallography. Shubnikova RAS, her PhD and doctoral dissertations relate to the field of crystallography and crystal physics.

 Dyakova joined the Kurchatov Institute in 2017 as deputy head of the NBICS complex for nature-like technologies, and then headed this structure. Since 2018, she has served as Deputy director of the Kurchatov Institute Research Center for scientific work, and since 2021, First Deputy Director for Science.

 The staff of the National Research Nuclear University MEPhI wholeheartedly congratulates its graduate on her new appointment and wishes her success in all her endeavors!

 Recall that in 2022, a cooperation agreement was signed between the National Research Nuclear University MEPhI and the Kurchatov Institute Research Center. 888
