Today the XXV International Scientific and Technical Conference "Neuroinformatics-2023" started at MEPhI and will run for five days until the end of the week.
The conference is held alternately at MEPhI and MIPT, and this year it is our university’s turn. Opening the conference, the head of the Institute of Cyber Intelligence Systems of the MEPhI, Valentin Klimov, said that his institute, which traditionally deals with problems of cybernetics and information security, has an important mission to continue and develop this conference and support its brand. Valentin Klimov also expressed the wish that there would be more young people at the conference, and that the range of topics discussed would become more diverse.
By tradition, the plenary session of the conference was chaired by the founding president of the Russian Association of Neuroinformatics, Vitaly Dunin-Barkovsky.
The scientific forum discusses probably the most relevant and “hot” topics of modern applied science – problems of artificial intelligence, neural networks, neurobiology and neuromorphic computing, adaptive behavior and cognitive research.
In addition to plenary and sectional sessions, the conference will include a round table on the neuroinformatics of consciousness.
