MEPhI was awarded as the leader in the Quality Rating of Financial Management of Universities at the First All-Russian Forum of heads of the financial and economic block of higher education organizations.
The forum was attended by more than 300 senior staff of Russian universities responsible for planning, accounting and analysis of financial and economic activities in educational organizations, as well as representatives of the Ministry of Education and Science, the Ministry of Finance and the Federal Treasury. MEPhI was represented at the forum by Vice-Rector Irina Balakina.
During thematic sections, participants discussed the efficiency of distributing funds from universities, key financial and economic challenges, ways to overcome them, and prospects for cooperation between educational organizations.
Deputy Minister of Science and Higher Education of Russia Andrei Omelchuk awarded universities that became leaders in the Financial Management Quality Rating. The universities were awarded in 12 categories, with 37 universities from Moscow, Kamchatka Territory, Chuvash Republic, Vologda, Tambov, Pskov regions and other regions of the country winning.
When selecting the winners, the effectiveness of implementing best practices and approaches, as well as active participation in a number of key projects of the Russian Ministry of Education and Science were taken into account.
MEPhI received an award in the “Savings Leaders” category. In addition to MEPhI, the RUDN Unisersity and the State University of Management were also awarded in this category.
