On April 6, the Executive Director of the Wuhan Sino-Russian Center for Cooperation in Science and Technology, Mr. Zhu Yun, visited MEPhI.

The guest from China visited the Center for Radio-Photonics and Microwave Technologies, as well as the Engineering Center, where he got acquainted with promising areas of research conducted at the university.

Mr. Zhu Yun acknowledged that the presentations of the centers made a great impression on him and expressed his interest in bilateral cooperation.

The visit continued with a discussion of plans for further cooperation, in which MEPhI vice-rector Nikolai Kargin and adviser to the university administration Anatoly Petrovsky took part. During the negotiations, possible areas of mutually beneficial cooperation between MEPhI and the Wuhan Center in the field of education, technology transfer, as well as joint scientific research in the field of radio photonics, optoinformatics and telecommunications were identified.
