MEPhI entered the first group of universities that will receive the largest grant from the Ministry of Science and Higher Education of the Russian Federation in the "Research Leadership" track of the Priority 2030 program.

It is important for MEPhI not only to maintain unconditional global leadership in the field of nuclear education, but also to fight for world leadership in new research areas, new markets and professions of the future, noted the acting Rector of MEPhI Vladimir Shevchenko.
According to him, the Priority 2030 program provides an opportunity to give way to completely new topics that did not exist before, but which in the near future will be able to have a planetary impact, as happened with the atomic project in the 20th century. "It creates enthusiasm and gives a great impetus to development," Vladimir Shevchenko concluded.
