03.07.2020

IATE MEPhI held the III International summer school  on  the topic of non-destructive testing of nuclear power plant. In the summer school participated both MEPhI students and representatives of other universities from Egypt, Saudi Arabia, Bangladesh, Indonesia and etc.

This year the school is held online. “On the one hand, this format allows to attract people represented the nuclear industries of other states, — said Deputy Head of the Department of Nuclear Physics and Technology of IATE MEPhI Alexander Nakhabov. — On the other hand, summer school is always practice-oriented. It means that the participants do a lot of things with their hands.”

Part of classes was switched to interactive and workshop format. Teachers recorded videos with detailed explanations. The participants were able to complete some tasks remotely. For example, they diagnosed the metal by x-ray.

All participants received certificates.
