MEPhI signs cooperation agreement with University of Technology of Troyes

On September, 13-15 Seville (Spain) has hosted the 29th annual conference and exhibition of the European Association for international education (EAIE Conference and Exhibition in 2017). Universities – participants of the Project 5-100 – represented the Russian higher school at this event in the fourth time, being exposed at the joint stand of the Project in the format of Study in Russia.

During the conference, Russian universities have expanded international contacts in the sphere of scientific research and enhancing academic exchange.

The National Research Nuclear University MEPhI have signed a cooperation agreement with the University of Technology of Troyes (France).

The agreement has several objectives, the main is the establishment of a student exchange programme, who will be able to study in a foreign (host) university for a period of up to one year. Also it is planned to cooperate at the level of the members of the teaching staff, including joint research and guidance in writing theses.

In addition the agreement includes the mutual exchange of students for practice in the laboratory; research cooperation in areas of mutual interest; joint organization of conferences, seminars and/or remote lectures in areas of mutual interests of both parts; exchange of information, publications, scientific and research documentation; development of double degree programs and other educational programs.

The University of Technology of Troyes – one of the universities that together with the University Compiègne and Belfort-Montbéliard form triumvirate of “Technological universities". The University of Troyes was founded in 1994, opened by Jacques Chirac and belongs to the Academy of Reims. It includes five faculties, each of which has several specialties, and five laboratories. The University of Technology of Troyes participates in international exchange programmes, including ERASMUS, and cooperates with many foreign universities-partners. The quality of education of the University of Troyes is not inferior to the Higher schools of France, although doesn’t have such a status.

At the exhibition EAIE-2017 there were held over 20 bilateral meetings with representatives of higher education institutions from around the world. It resulted into correction of the road maps, achievement of agreements on interchange visits in the short term (until December 2017), and plans to work on the convergence and the search for mutual interests.
