Description

The theme of the International school “Laser physics of high energy density” is aimed at the use of high-power lasers in basic research and technologies. The program covers several successfully developing areas of modern science of the strong field, including:

• development and design of the latest laser installations of record power;
• use of laser for fast ignition in fusion;
• laser - based sources of radiation and charged particles;
• ultrafast laser processes and attosecond physics;
• physics of elementary particles and vacuum controlled by super-strong laser fields.

Each of the topics will be covered by overview lectures given by leading experts in the relevant fields of research.
