On October, 17 the rating agency Times Higher Education has published the results of the subjects' rankings in the areas of Computer Science and Engineering and Technology.

The National Research Nuclear University MEPhI debuted in the rankings and has taken high places: 201-250 at Computer Science and 401-500 at Engineering and Technology!

The ranking of THE Computer Science includes five Russian universities, including three universities – participants of the Project 5-100: MSU (60th), MIPT, ITMO University, MEPhI and SPbU.

"The ranking of the best universities in the field of computer science is based on the same thorough and balanced method of the 13 indicators used in the preparation of the world ranking of universities in 2018, but the methodology has been refined for the scientific field. All the universities in the ranking had to demonstrate the excellent quality of teaching, ongoing research, knowledge transfer and international work, so entrance into the top-300 is an amazing achievement,” said the chief editor of the ranking Phil Baty.

The World University Rankings 2018 by subject: engineering and technology includes 10 Russian universities, nine of them are participants in the Project 5-100. Among them there are Moscow State University (leader, 126-150), TPU, ITMO University, MEPhI, MISIS, NSU, SPbPU and SSAU.
