MEPhI maintains its position in rating of leading world universities Times Higher Education

The National Research Nuclear University MEPhI has entered the prestigious ranking of higher education institutions in the world – Times Higher Education, taking the 5-8 place among Russian universities (401-500 position in the world). Kazan Federal University, Novosibirsk State University, Saint Petersburg State University are in the same group.

The leader among Russian universities is Lomonosov Moscow State University, which scored 194 points. In total the list of thousands of universities from 77 countries includes 18 Russian educational institutions.

The Times Higher Education rating has been published for the 14th time. It is based on 13 criteria, divided into 5 groups, among which are innovation, quality of teaching, citation of scientific publications, the degree of globality of the university, that is, its ability to attract the best employees and international students, income from research activities, and more.

The position of MEPhI among Russian universities:

1st place (194): Moscow State University.

2nd place (251-300): Moscow Institute of Physics and Technology.

3rd place (301-350): Tomsk Polytechnic University.

4th place (351-400): Higher School of Economics.

5-8 place (401-500): Kazan Federal University, National Research Nuclear University MEPhI, Novosibirsk State University, Saint Petersburg State University.

9-10 place (501-600): ITMO University, Tomsk State University.

11-13 place (601-800): National University of Science and Technology MISIS,  St. Petersburg Polytechnic University, Samara State Aerospace University.

14-18 place (801-1000): Bauman Moscow State Technical University, National Research Lobachevsky State University of Nizhni Novgorod, Saratov State University, Novosibirsk State Technical University, Southern Federal University.
