Description

The holiday of the Russian language "Total dictation" is a kind of flash mob: "strangers learn about the action, gather at one time in one place, do something strange together and disperse".

In 2019, the dictation will be held simultaneously on 3100 sites around the world, covering 772 settlements in Russia and 340 cities in 79 countries.

Author of the text "Total dictation - 2019" is a writer, literary critic and journalist Pavel Basinsky, author of the novels "Leo Tolstoy. Escape from Paradise", "Look at me", "Passion for Maxim" and others. He wrote the original text for the dictation, which will be read on April,13 at 14:00. It will be dictated by the head of the University Lyceum №1511 (MEPhI Pre-University), Doctor of Physical and Mathematical Sciences Sergey Olegovich Elyutin.
