The Department №7 "Experimental nuclear physics and space physics" of the National Research Nuclear University MEPhI under the support of the MEPhI Student Scientific Society is organizing a cycle of lectures “Earth and universe” where leading Russian scientists in the field of space research will give lectures.

They will talk about the most modern scientific research and discoveries in the field of cosmo- and astrophysics, cosmology, creation of advanced space observatories and experiments that have made a huge contribution to the development of our knowledge about space.

The first lecture of the series on “Successes of Russian space: RadioAstron” will be held on May 18 at 18:00 in the K-716 audience.

Speaker: Yuri Kovalev - Russian astrophysicist, head of the scientific program of RadioAstron, corresponding member of RAS, Professor of RAS, doctor of physics and mathematics, head of the laboratory of extragalactic radio astronomy at the Astrocosmic center of FIAN and the Laboratory of fundamental and applied research of relativistic objects at MIPT.
