Description

The theme of the scientific seminar is devoted to studies of the anomalously low-lying isomeric state in the nucleus of thorium-229 and creation of the nuclear metrological new generation standard of frequency based on it.

The seminar will discuss:

• Standards of time and frequency on cold atoms and ions
• Drift of fundamental constants
• Gamma-ray laser
• Low-energy nuclear isomeric states
• Atomic and nuclear physics of isotope thorium-229
